Hello From the Inside Everyone!

It has been too long since I blogged about my life and experiences. I tried the laying low approach to incarceration with hopes that justice would come in my silence and the court filings by my attorneys.
Unfortunately, my health has continued to decline catastrophically and there still exists unrectified prosecutorial overreach. The Chief Medical Officer Dr. Randolph Maul of the Department of Corrections in Colorado personally referred me for medical release in July 2025. Since then, the ongoing conflict of District Attorney Alexis King has prevented release at the direction of the named alleged victim, my ex husband Donald Emmi. How a man can put the mother of his children and wife in prison is shocking, but to keep her in prison when her life is in peril due to documented medical issues and continuing debility is beyond unconscionable.
I am going to rejoin the world from the inside of these silencing walls and I will remain quiet no longer. The Bruised Behind Bars podcast will be officially launched in 2026, and will be a tell all look into the corruption of our justice system and for the first time an insiders reveal of a women's prison, specifically Denver Women's Correctional Facility, one of the most corrupt prisons in the country.
A sneak peek of topics will include the day to day violations and abuses endured by inmates, the history of the warden being fired for covering up inmate brutality, and the criminal investigation of several Colorado Department of Corrections administrative staff for financial crimes.
The Denver women's prison has long been known as a top facility in the country for sexual assault by guards against the women. If that is not enough to tempt you, how about the fact that fully intact male inmates falsely claiming to be transgendered are now housed, having sex with, passing disease to, and even impregnating female inmates.
I am excited to have our voices heard beyond these walls and I hope it spurs some sort of justice reform for our terribly broken system.
